All services booked by the client shall be subject to the following terms and conditions. The reading of these conditions by the client shall be deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions. Last updated 8th Nov 2021.
1. Information:
The client shall provide on request all such information as is available and relevant to the event, to enable Axes and Arrows Ltd to make an assessment of its obligation to provide the service required.
2. Price:
The price payable is that set out in the invoice, or the price verbally agreed by the two parties and confirmed in writing or by email later.
3. Payment:
(a) A minimum 20% non returnable booking fee is required to secure the activity and venue requirements; the balance to be paid 14 days prior to the event unless otherwise arranged in writing between the two parties.
(b) Failure to pay the balance payment 14 days prior to the activity date will result in late payment charges and could result in your booking being cancelled – upon which no monies paid will be refunded.
4. Cancellation:
(a) By the client. Axes and Arrows Ltd must be notified of event cancellations and the following charges shall apply: If more than 30 days notice is given there will be a 100% refund given. 30 to 15 days notice 50% of the total price. 14 days notice or less is subject to 100% of the total price.
(b) By Axes and Arrows Ltd. Axes and Arrows Ltd reserves the right to cancel the event, if the balance of the total price has not been received 14 days prior to the event without alternative arrangements being made in writing.
5. Guest attendance:
The client shall not be entitled to any reduction in the price if the guest numbers are lower than that stated in the original booking confirmation. We do not charge per head. We charge per target. All of our packages are a minimum of 2 targets which accommodates up to 20 participants. Additional targets must be booked at the time of the booking at a rate of one target per 10 participants. e.g if you have 25 guest then 3 targets will be required. If you have 37 guests then 4 targets will be required.
6. Additional Services:
Additional services requested by the client, on the day of the event and not included in the original booking confirmation, will be invoiced and payable within seven days after the issue date of the invoice. Axes and Arrows Ltd cannot guarantee that we will be able to deliver additional requests for additional services made at the event. Additional services requested prior to the event and confirmed to be available shall be invoiced and payable prior to the event.
7. Company Authority:
The client agrees that Axes and Arrows Ltd have full authority during the event and shall comply with any request or instruction made by Axes and Arrows Ltd and its staff.
8. Alcohol drugs and the law:
Due to the nature of the activities you should not participate in axe throwing whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Axes and Arrows Ltd instructors have the right to refuse participation in activities if safety is thought to be compromised.
7. Participant exclusion:
Axes and Arrows Ltd reserves the right to exclude any adult or child for any reason, including but not limited to bad behaviour, illness and bullying. Refunds will not be offered for remaining days when an adult or child is excluded. No refund will be made for days missed and no compensation will be made for any other costs or losses incurred as a result.
8. Photography and Video:
We may take photographs or video footage for training and marketing purposes. If you want to exclude yourself or your child, please email or call our team before the event date or speak to a member of staff at the time of the event.
9. Health and Safety:
There may be occasions where the medical or physical conditions of an adult or child means that it would not be appropriate or safe to include that adult or child in the Axe throwing and/or Archery session on the basis of health and safety.
It is the participants / guardians / schools / companies responsibility to inform Axes and Arrows Ltd at the time of booking of any pre-existing medical, physical or behavioural conditions, or medication requirements, so that Axes and Arrows Ltd can make provision for the adult or child’s specific needs during the session if possible.
*Every participant is responsible for the safety of themselves, other throwers and spectators.
*Participants under the age of 18 must always be accompanied by an adult whilst attending one of our events. This includes on the Axe throwing range or Archery range.
*Suitable footwear must be worn at all times. CLOSED-TOE SHOES ARE MANDATORY for anyone taking part in Axe throwing.
*Participants will be instructed in safety guidelines, throwing/shooting technique, and the structure of the session upon arrival as part of the session introduction.
*NEVER cross the throwing/shooting line until all axes/arrows have come to rest either in the target or on the floor. The instructor will advise when you can approach the targets.
*NEVER throw/shoot until the participant in the adjacent lane has completed their throw/shot.
*Participants should be aware that projectiles might clash and cause spikes or metal burrs which may cause injury to hands. If you find a burr on any of your axes let the instructor know so the axe can be made safe or replaced.
*Participants should be aware that any projectile may bounce back and cause injury.
10. Our staff:
All of our staff have Disclosure and Barring Service checks (DBS checks) in place. We cannot be held responsible for any incorrect or fraudulent information provided by any individual when completing their DBS checks.
11. Privacy
To access our website and/or services, you may be required to provide certain information about yourself as part of the registration/booking process. You agree that any information you provide will always be accurate, correct, and up to date.

12. Export restrictions / Legal compliance
Access to the website from territories or countries where the Content or purchase of the products or Services sold on the website is illegal is prohibited. You may not use this website in violation of export laws and regulations of United Kingdom.
13. Assignment
You may not assign, transfer or sub-contract any of your rights and/or obligations under these Terms and conditions, in whole or in part, to any third party without our prior written consent. Any purported assignment in violation of this Section will be null and void.
14. Breaches of these Terms and conditions
Without prejudice to our other rights under these Terms and Conditions, if you breach these Terms and Conditions in any way, we may take such action as we deem appropriate to deal with the breach, including temporarily or permanently suspending your access to the website, contacting your internet service provider to request that they block your access to the website, and/or commence legal action against you.
15. Force majeure
Except for obligations to pay money hereunder, no delay, failure or omission by either party to carry out or observe any of its obligations hereunder will be deemed to be a breach of these Terms and conditions if and for as long as such delay, failure or omission arises from any cause beyond the reasonable control of that party.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us harmless, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses, relating to your violation of these Terms and conditions, and applicable laws, including intellectual property rights and privacy rights. You will promptly reimburse us for our damages, losses, costs and expenses relating to or arising out of such claims.
17. Waiver
Failure to enforce any of the provisions set out in these Terms and Conditions and any Agreement, or failure to exercise any option to terminate, shall not be construed as waiver of such provisions and shall not affect the validity of these Terms and Conditions or of any Agreement or any part thereof, or the right thereafter to enforce each and every provision.
18. Language
These Terms and Conditions will be interpreted and construed exclusively in English. All notices and correspondence will be written exclusively in that language.
19. Entire agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our privacy statement and cookie policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Axes and Arrows Ltd in relation to your use of this website.
20. Updating of these Terms and conditions
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. It is your obligation to periodically check these Terms and Conditions for changes or updates. The date provided at the beginning of these Terms and Conditions is the latest revision date. Changes to these Terms and Conditions will become effective upon such changes being posted to this website. Your continued use of this website following the posting of changes or updates will be considered notice of your acceptance to abide by and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
21. Choice of Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of United Kingdom. Any disputes relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of United Kingdom. If any part or provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other authority to be invalid and/or unenforceable under applicable law, such part or provision will be modified, deleted and/or enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to give effect to the intent of these Terms and Conditions. The other provisions will not be affected.

Experience day session terms & Conditions/Cancellations:
Please note we require 7 days notice to amend a booking for a have a go session at this venue, and while every effort will be made to accommodate you this cannot be guaranteed. All payments are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation or no show with less than 7 days notice. Any amendments or cancellation with more than 7 days notice will also incur a 20% charge on the full cost of the booking. We reserve the right to cancel a session at any time, if this occurs for any reason we will of course notify you by email and offer a refund, transfer to another date or credit voucher at our discretion, no other costs will be considered. Unfortunately our costs for venue hire and coaches are the same whether you turn up or not.
